Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location 50 feet from Mission/16th BART is very convenient, but you have to climb through a loud noxious-smelling gauntlet of street people, sewage? and garbage to get from the hotel to the train station. Close to bodegas so easy to pick up water, ice and fruit. Made sure to take all trash out of the room before bed for fear of attracting vermin through the screenless window that had to be opened for ventilation. Close to coffee and restaurants like Manny's. Towels were stained but very clean and motel-thick. This place is suitable for single people on a strict budget who don't mind camping indoors.

The facilities were relatively clean. I really liked the coffee they offered in the morning. There’s also a microwave available. It’s a very, very basic accommodation, but it serves its purpose. Recommend for people on a very low budget, otherwise better to spend a little more and book a better room. I had to book it in an emergency, was ok, I’d stay there again.

My stay at the union hotel was very good for the price paid. My small room was just what I needed for a 3 night stay - double bed, sink, bedside table, mirror and chest of drawers. Private room, shared toilets and shower all extremely clean and kept to a good standard and fresh towels provided in my room during my stay without asking. Location of hotel great for the confident traveller - local shops near by and bus stop great for links to lots of places in the city.

- Staff was fine, welcoming -My room was clean, and I got a new set of towels on the second day - Toilet was always free and kept clean and replenished - pretty cheap compared to the average in San Francisco - Location next to the subway for a quick connection to the airport

Cleaner than expected room. If you only need a bed then this is perfect. Also, there is a sink in the room. The receptionist was very lovely, informative and gave us many tips.

The location is good, there are amazing food places around the corner and the BART is right there. I felt safe enough in the evenings. The staff was very friendly. Surprisingly I never had to wait to use the restroom or the shower
